The Edmonton Festival Ballet was pleased to perform at the Edmonton Contemporary Dancers' presentation of Essence of Dance on June 3rd, 2006.  This year EFB presented a mixed repertoire and the dancers were excited to work with two guest choreographers, former EFB director Courtney Beshear and Jojo Lucila who recently moved to Edmonton from the Philippines.

'Volare' - choreographed by Courtney Beshear involved the full company and was fun and upbeat piece.

'Silhouette' - choreographed by Jojo Lucila was a beautiful piece set to an unusual version of the well known Pacabel's Cannon.

'Excerpts from Paquita' - staged by Nancy Hamilton (original choreography by Marius Petipa) showcased the EFB full members in a challenging classical ballet.

'Grass' Pas de Deux and 'Wind' - from Grass Roots (both choreographed by Nancy Hamilton) completed our contribution to the performance.
