This season the company travelled to Lloydminster with the Edmonton Contemporary Dancers and participated in the Lloydminster Regional Dance Festival's Dancin' on the Border on April 20th through the 23rd, 2006.  This was a great team building experience with dancers supporting and encouraging each other throughout the 4 day event.

Edmonton Festival Ballet dancers won several awards including:

- scholarship for Kaitlyn, Patrick, and Natasha in Grass Roots' 'Sun' (choreographed by Nancy Hamilton)

- partnering award for Patrick for his work in Grass Roots (choreographed by Nancy Hamilton and Terra Mahood)

- special award for all company dancers in Grass Roots' 'Wind' (choreographed by Nancy Hamilton)

- special mention for the cooperative efforts and successful presentation of the numerous performances EFB dancers participated in during the festival, in particular for Grass Roots pieces (choreographed by Nancy Hamilton and Terra Mahood)
