The Edmonton School of Ballet Society (ESBS) is planning a trip to Los Angeles, California for March/April 2007 over the Spring/Vimy Break. Currently tentative dates are March 29th to April 9th.
Students in Level 8 and up and/or those who are in Edmonton Festival Ballet or Edmonton Contemporary Dancers are invited to be part of this trip. These 10 days will include lots of dancing (Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and more! - students will be given a wide variety of classes to choose from), performances, sight-seeing (Disneyland), shopping and, hopefully, a side trip to San Diego to see City Ballet of San Diego, take class, and visit the famous San Diego Zoo!
Initial quotes for the trip (excluding food and classes were $1500.00; a more realistic estimate for everything would be $2000.00 (CDN).
A preliminary planning meeting will be held in June to discuss the trip and fundraising opportunities to help defray the cost.
