This season the company travelled to New York, New York with other senior dancers from the Edmonton Contemporary Dancers and the Edmonton School of Ballet. The trip went from April 3rd through 11th and was a great success. The dancers took classes at renowned training institutions and with well known dancers and dance teachers including one class taught by Gelsey Kirkland, formerly of ABT. The dancers were also able to take in many of the sights New York had to offer including Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum, and Times Square. They also put in some time shopping and saw a multitude of shows including 2 or more shows on Broadway - Billy Elliot and In the Heights. Click here to see some photos of New York.
