1989

- EFB performs Strauss Ball for the first time

- at end of season, 5 dancers leave to join the apprentice training program of 'Les Grands Ballet Canadiens'

1988

- Hanne Livingstone appointed Artistic Co-ordinator of the company

- Lambros Lambrou becomes resident guest teacher

- Performed 2nd self-sponsored show entitled "High Pointe" choreographed by Mr. Lambrou featured 2 principal guest dancers from the Indianapolis Ballet Theatre

- Performances in Athabasca, Red Deer, and Rocky Mountain House

- Company invited by Edmonton Opera to perform in "Aida" with choreography set by Mr. Lambrou

- Company sets new record of seven new pieces to be set by seven different choreographers

1987

- A season of mixed repertoire

- Record 5 mini-shows performed to schools in Edmonton and Alberta

1986

- Company is officially incorporated as a registered non-profit society

- Company performs for Inner City Schools; show sponsored by Alberta Youth Year Secretariat

- R. Clinton Rothwell appointed as Artistic Director

- Fall performance at Arden Theatre in St. Albert is the first self sponsored show by the company.  - Mr. Rothwell sets 4 new pieces

1985

- Company name changed to "Edmonton Festival Ballet"

- Paula Cake choreographs "Alberta Story" with original music by Cindy Oxley

- David Adams sets Swan Lake Act 2

- David Adams and Maria Bokor act as joint Artistic Directors

1984

- Three company dancers compete in the International Dance Competition in Helsinki, Finland, with sponsorship by Alberta Foundation of Performing Arts.

- David Adams sets "Les Sylphides" on the company.

- First matinee performance for academic schools at the Jubilee Auditorium

1983

- First company appearance at the Jubilee Auditorium in collaboration with dancers from Cheremosh in "Coppelia".  Guest roles taken by David Adams and Scott Harris of Alberta Ballet

- Performance at Viennese Ball

- Tour of rural Alberta

1982 - First rural tour of the company to Camrose, Fort McMurray, Ponoka, and Wetaskiwin
1981 - Margaret Flynn, Hanne Livingstone together with Senior Staff of the Edmonton School of Ballet form a small performing group called "The Young Dancers of Alberta"
